SpiritWeavers Gathering: Herbal Poultice Rituals for women’s health

So often massage is considered a luxury spa service, only indulged in on special occasions, but in many original cultures healing touch is sacred, a necessary form of daily nourishment shared at home between family, friends and loved ones. Traditionally massage and transdermal herbalism go hand in hand. Discover one the most accessible, ancient and universal form of healing. While this practice is common across the globe, I have the honor and privilege to study directly with Thai, Balinese and Lahu tribal midwives and women’s healers. These unique cultural traditions are well preserved, fully alive and offer depths of wisdom to connect with the plants plentifully growing in our own ecosystems. Wild medicinal plants are respectfully harvested, lovingly wrapped in cotton cloth, steamed until warm and massaged into areas of tension and stagnant energy. I teach practical hands-on herbal massage skills that are surprisingly easy and effective to share, even after a short workshop. Focusing on womb, breast and emotional health, supported by the healing touch of the living plants and our circle of sisters. In this class you will give and receive a guided massage as a nurturing experience together. (come wearing comfortable clothing or a bathing suit, that may possibly get wet with warm herbal water.)
